In this workshop we will cover all you need to know how to make delicious jams and the keys to preserve food safely. We will begin with an hour introductory talk covering the topics of hot water bath canning and the PH scale and food safety. You will get hands on with some of the Bay Area's very best produce and learn all of the techniques to making great preserves at home!
With all kinds of berries in season, stone fruits as well as (hopefully) some end-of-season citrus, we will have the tools to create some fabulous jams. We will make 3 different recipes and you will go home with 2 jars from each recipe! YUM!
This workshop is held from 10am - 3pm and includes a delicious organic lunch
