apricots and berries workshop – a hands-on experience
Apricots and berries bring beautiful colors together in one jar! I like to preserve these fruits with as little sugar as possible while still maintaining their fabulous color. This workshop will begin with an in depth discussion about various food preservation techniques packed with information that will give you understanding about the dynamics of sugar and pectin in your fruit preserves. We then head into the kitchen to get to work on three different recipes.
Halved Apricots: This is the best way to enjoy apricots all year long in yogurt, on pancakes or just on their own as a classic special treat!
Apricot Lemon Jam: The color of this jam will make you want to have it on display but the flavor will force you to open the jar and dive in! This jam is a low sugar and highlighted with meyer lemon.
Triple Berry Jam: This jam will give you confidence in combining different berries for fabulous flavor and color! Very enticing.
