April 29 - Tween and Teen Welding, Carving and Cooking! Santa Cruz Redwoods 10-4pm
April 29 10-4pm
A day on an epic property in the Santa Cruz Mountains! The day begins with a circle up and orientation. Then we head down to the shop to work on a wood carving - and each participant will take home their creation. Next, we journey up to the kitchen to make lunch together and learn some basic cooking and prep skills. After lunch we go on a hike through the redwoods and creeks. Next we head back to the shop for some metal work and create a sculpture that we will take home. This one day event can help satisfy a desire to learn wood carving and metal working from a local master. It can also be a great way to see if the summer camps are a good fit for you!
Learning these hands on skills can really be a confidence booster for people and encourage them to engage in life in a different way!
