November 16 -Kids Baking with preserves (5-8 years old) Pacific Grove, 4-7pm
We love baking with kids at Happy Girl. We use low sugar recipes and natural coloring agents that make baking FUN and HEALTHY!!! We have timed this workshop so that it can also be a date night for parents, drop your kids off here and go have dinner or a romantic walk on the beach! You child will have dinner here and then we will have dessert together that we made. They will also take treats home to share with the family!
We will start with our classic home-made pop-tart. On this part we will make a classic pastry dough that can be used in many different ways. It is a pastry dough that is flaky and can be used to make tarts, pies and fruit pockets. We will then fill them with our jam and bake them off. We will make icing out of 5 different natural dyes to decorate with.
We will make a low sugar scone filled with fresh fruit and nuts. It is a real nice treat to enjoy for breakfast or an after school snack.
Lastly, we will make a classic thumbprint cookie with home made jam! It doesnt get better than this!!!
In all of our baked goods we use low sugar and we use high quality ingredients such as organic butter and flour so that you will be able to taste the difference!!! Your kids will be all set for the holidays with this workshop!
We will share a light dinner together and you will take home our baked goodies too. It is going to be a fun night! This workshop is for kids from 5-8 years old.
