November 9th: Preserving Meyer Lemons 4 different ways in Pacific Grove 5-8pm
We are on the brink of citrus season, and we have the most amazing fresh lemons! Now is the time to learn how to play with Meyer Lemons in sweet & savory ways! You will learn how to preserve them with honey instead of sugar and also a no sugar preserve. It is great to learn how to have lemons in your life and ready to add to your dishes every day!
In this workshop, join Jordan Champagne, Happy Girl Kitchen Co. co-founder, to explore the wonderful world of citrus. She will cover fabulous recipes for these robust fruits, including safe water-bath canning and basic food safety. Learn how to make Moroccan pickled lemons, candied citrus peels, honeyed lemons and citrus spritzer for cocktails and take home one jar of each recipe. You will leave with a wealth of knowledge of how to preserve citrus and how to add it to meals to make them over-the-top delicious.
You will go home with 3 jars of goodies and a lot of knowledge. We will share organic snacks and goodies throughout the workshop too!
