October 13th – Mexican Fiesta! Teen cooking class from 4:30-7:30pm, $95
This workshop is a super fun way to encourage teens to get the skills they need to cook in the kitchen with confidence. It is skills that they will need and use the rest of their lives. They will learn how to cook an entire dinner that they can build on. Join Todd Champagne and Kitchen Manager & Oaxacan native, Luis for this fun Mexican cooking summer fiesta! They have developed recipes to highlight flavors from Mexico and to bring together a delicious meal featuring the basics to a vegetarian meal. Learn how to make handmade corn tortillas, creamy pinto beans, Spanish rice, two types of salsa - tomatillo and roasted red pepper salsas, cabbage salad, and we will also be making horchata!
Through out the workshop, we will be sharing techniques to help you be successful at home making delicious beans and rice from scratch. We will gather at the end to share the bountiful meal that we have prepared, and you will leave with some ingredients to inspire your own meal at home. We will provide recipes for all of the dishes that we prepare this evening.
Please book early; this event is going to be fun and lively! We anticipate that this long awaited workshop will fill quickly. The workshop will be held at Happy Girl Kitchen location from 4:30-7:30pm pm at 173 Central Avenue, Pacific Grove 93950.
