September 14th: Apples, Pears and Quince + Fruit Butters in Pacific Grove 5-8 pm
Just because summer is nearing a close doesn't mean you get to retire your canning pot! Apples, pears and quince arrive quite conveniently after you've jarred up all of those tomatoes and cucumbers and need a heartier fruit to turn to. In this workshop we will make apple sauce with no added sugar. Another of my favorite recipes is the honeyed pears with ginger (or spiced as you wish). Lastly, we will be working with one of the most delectable fruits of all; the beloved quince! We will make quince jelly and you will learn how to make membrillo!
The workshop will include a light dinner and full tasting!
