October 22 - Plant Based Cooking, 5:30-8:30
Plant based is becoming very popular and for good reasons. It has shown to help people lose weight and improve their health all while being kinder to the planet and to animals. People often like the idea but do not know where to start and are concerned that they will not be getting enough nutrition and protein. Here at Happy Girl, we serve plant based food every day to people who strictly eat that way and for many others who do not and everyone walks away satisfied. We are excited to share with you our tips and tricks for making very satisfying plant based meals that are good for you, the planet and the animals! Take that step towards decreasing your carbon footprint with the meals you prepare at home!
Instructor, Jordan Champagne, has been eating plant based almost exclusively nearly her entire life and has also fed her family in that same manner. In this workshop she will provide current information on the nutrition of eating this way and we will cook a variety of recipes in class. You will get encouraged and inspired to take that step in your life or help someone you know in eating more plant based as well. Come see how this way of eating can boost your energy and health!
The workshop will take place at happy girl kitchen co 173 Central Ave, Pacific Grove from 5:30-8:30pm. We will prepare food together and then sit down and have a full dinner and dessert!
