Join Chef Suzanne of for a hands-on workshop celebrating our region’s summer highlight: the tomato. In this workshop, will explore a variety of tomato types: heirlooms, romas, cherry tomatoes, and the queen of this coastal region, the dry farmed tomato. We will discuss how to select the right tomato for the right dish, while sharing tips on ripeness, flavor, and texture that make all the difference in home cooking.
During the class, we will prepare a range of simple, satisfying meals built around fresh tomatoes, along with a rich, slow-simmered tomato sauce and a comforting tomato soup perfect for any season. Whether you’re a beginner in the kitchen or looking to deepen your love of seasonal cooking, this workshop offers a warm, approachable introduction to making the most of the tomato.
