I love love love this time of year. I get to dream and plan all of my goals for the next year. I also choose a word that is going to guide me through the year. In the past the word has been "balance" or "no" or "practice". This year, my word is DETERMINATION! It is a great word. A quick search shows two definitions
- firmness of purpose; resoluteness.
"he advanced with an unflinching determination" - the process of establishing something exactly, typically by calculation or research. I want to muster determination to achieve my goals for the year. Words have power and we can use them to our advantage. So here is some big news from Happy Girl for 2018!
Last year, I injured my knee and from that "down time" I was able to create a killer book proposal. I then pitched the proposal to my dream agent and she accepted me. She then proposed it to a publisher and they offered us a book deal. Oila! Happy Girl Kitchen Co. is finally going to have her own book! I will chronicle the journey for you as I know it will be an interesting one! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement on this front. I couldn't have gotten to where I am without you!

Citrus 4 different ways!
A big reason we are writing a book is because of feedback from our workshops! We have taught thousands of people over the last 10 years how to have fun with the local, organic harvest! Welcome Farmers Dinner
This is going to be a good one! "Farmers Welcome" is Happy Girl Kitchen's way to celebrate the eco farm conference taking place all week in our same small town. At Happy Girl our connection to our farmer's is where it all started and it is fun for us to spotlight our roots!
This dinner will be a wonderful buffet dinner featuring the local harvest. There will be open seating and pre purchased tickets are recommended. The food will be all organic and made from scratch by Jordan Champagne. The style is california cuisine with a flare for preserved foods ie. this meal preparation began months ago!
