Monday, September 11th 6pm KIRTANA NIGHT AND BUFFET INDIAN DINNER - Sliding scale $10-$25 for dinner and kirtana.  Please pre register here!  Our talented friends are rolling through town and we are so happy to host them here at Happy Girl.  A great way to start the week! Kirtan is an ancient form of mantra meditation, a component of bhakti-yoga (the yoga of devotion), which has the power to open and purify the heart. This chanting, accompanied by musical instruments and rhythmic drumming, brings the audience to its feet in the joy of singing, clapping, and dancing with pure devotion....

In steps Golden Latte...   It is hard to say whether or not something is trending or has trended or is on the cusp.  Often times we feel very isolated in our little Happy Girl world and perspective and do not really have a pulse on what is going on out there in the world.  We get out a lot, but then again we do not get out much.  But, I did notice the Golden Latte popping up in places around town and realized we needed to add it to our menu.  It wasn't until I went to a Dripworks...

PART 1:  Journey one: American Spoon,Petoskey, Michigan.. .. . ..  . .. . . . ..  .. . . .. ... A lesson in GraceEveryone needs heroes.  American Spoon, as a company, is one of my greatest heroes.  They are about 20 years ahead of us in time and innovation.  What has always inspired me most about them is their dedication to their founding principles which seemed similar to mine.  They have a passion for preserving the local harvest and are community minded.  They have stayed small enough to maintain and integrity in their ingredients and therefore batch sizes and yet...

New Year...I felt like I had a mini new year in Late October and I realize that it helps to have mini new years throughout the year so that one can consolidate ideas and actually take action.  The changing of the year on our calendars is a natural time to reflect and set goals.  I will share with you Happy Girls stats for 2016 and goals for 2017!!!.. .. . ..  . .. . . . ..  .. . . .. ...   It is pretty wild how much fun we manage to have at work.  We know that we are very fortunate....
